First stay at the new school
A small team of 3 took the first trip to Haiti of 2016. David and Rita Kuntz and Deb Taylor traveled to St. Louis du Nord in January to meet with students and staff. Though classes started late for the 2015-2016 school year, all classes are now in full swing. The computer and English classes are at full capacity. The plumbing, electrical and art classes are growing as well. Demand for these classes continues to be strong with more students starting to travel from near-by communities for the opportunity to go to a low cost trade school.
The English class was treated to special lessons with Deb. She taught lessons from the Bible, the Four Spiritual Laws and the Nicene and Apostles creeds. The English students love when Americans come to their class to teach. It gives them a chance to hear the American accent which helps them to interpret better. The trade school has been very blessed to have the missionaries and short-term groups from Northwest Haiti Christian Mission also come to teach the English classes occasionally. The River Church mission team taught the English class during their trip later in January.

Changing Lives!
It is always exciting to hear more stories of lives being changed as a result of the Beyond Relief Trade School. We met Dorcely Kenol, a graduate from the electrical class, on this visit. He had a dream to become an electrician, but wasn’t able to attend school until he found Beyond Relief. The low cost to him enabled him to take the class. His family was facing a debt that could have sent him to a Haitian prison. After graduating from the electrical class, he was able to get work to pay off the loan. Dorcely has a wife and two children; all of their futures were changed because of the Beyond Relief Trade School. To see the entire interview with Dorcely go to youtube.com/watch?v=ecwuMBSOZnM
“Thank you to the supporters” Dorcely Kenol.

Goals for 2016
2015 was a big year for Beyond Relief International Ministries. For 2016 we would like to continue the progress that was made last year.
1. Raise the $100,000 still needed to complete this phase of construction
2. Develop consistent monthly support to fund daily operations. With only 100 supporters @ $35 a month this goal can be reached. Would you be one of those supporters?
3. Coming soon: a make-over of the Beyond Relief website. Stay tuned for things to come

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future”
