Praise God! On July 30, 2026, Beyond Relief International Ministries celebrated its 14th graduation ceremony, honoring 190 students in our second-largest graduating class. Since the trade school opened in fall 2011, more than 1,700 students have earned certificates, and another 500 have completed their courses but were unable to attend a ceremony. These young adults now have greater hope and opportunity to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. What a blessing!

Computer skills continues to be our most popular course, followed by sewing, tiling, and window-making. We hope to expand the computer program next year and are pursuing a grant along with additional donations from individuals. We sincerely thank everyone who has already contributed to this effort.

Our mission from the start has been to “train and equip impoverished people to earn a living and improve their communities.” We are profoundly thankful that God has provided the devoted staff, facility, and supporters who enable this ministry to continue its work.

Impact Story

As part of graduation, the school gave graduates the option to submit their impact story.  Below is the story that was chosen as number one. The story is in the graduate’s own words but has been interpreted by Google from Haitian creole to English.

1- Why did you decide to go to Beyond Relief Trade?

I decided to go to Beyond Relief Trade because I want to learn a trade that can help me build my future. This school provides many wonderful professional trainings that prepare young people to enter the working life with more skills, discipline and confidence. Last year I learned English and this year I am learning computer science and it has helped me a lot in my work.

Beyond Relief Trade is an opportunity for me to develop my skills, gain practical experience, and become more independent in life. I also chose this school because I believe that vocational education is one of the best ways for a person to change their life and help their community.

2- How do you plan to use your new skills?

I plan to use my skills to improve my life and create more opportunities for my future. I am already learning English, which will help me communicate with more people, gain more international knowledge, and have more chances at work or in business.

Currently, I am learning computer science because technology has become very important in the world. I want to use what I have learned to work in the digital field, help others, and develop projects that can benefit my community. These skills will help me become more professional, more independent, and better prepared for the future. My computer skills are one of the skills that allowed me to get a job at a child and youth development center.

3- How will your new skills bless or be useful to you and your community?

My new skills will be useful to me because they will help me become more prepared for professional life, find more job opportunities, and develop myself on a personal and intellectual level. English will allow me to communicate with people around the world, find more information and training online, while computer skills will help me adapt to technology that is evolving every day.

For my community, I can share what I have learned with other young people, help them discover new opportunities, and encourage them to learn skills that can change their lives. I would like to use my knowledge to help in education, communication, and the development of projects that can bring progress to the community. So, what I learn will not only be useful for me, but also for the advancement of my community.
