Have you seen the TV commercials or magazine ads where orphan children with big brown eyes are looking for sponsors? We look at those ads and want to help. You may even sponsor some of those children. In Haiti, many children in the orphanages actually have parents. The parents could not afford to keep their child (or children) so they abandon them in an orphanage. What if we can PREVENT those children from becoming orphans? That is exactly what Beyond Relief is doing! Our graduates, young men and women, have the skills to get well-paying jobs. When they have children they can afford to take care of them. This underscores the importance of the work Beyond Relief is doing.

Construction of the new school building is progressing rapidly. The security wall is complete and progress on the director’s house/guest house has begun. Once the house is complete, Mackel and his family will move on site. This provides additional security for the land and building supplies as the construction continues. This enables us to move all electronic equipment to the new location once school is done. Many of the small buildings have also been completed (i.e. security room at the gate, storage building and generator room). Footings for the first phase of the school building will be dug soon. Since Haiti is at risk of more earthquakes, the wall and buildings are all being constructed to make them more earthquake resistant.

Beyond Relief was very blessed to receive donations that covered the first payment of purchasing the land and building the wall and house. As we prepare to build the school building we have an urgent need for an additional $70,000 so the construction can continue without interruption. Completed construction plus construction of the office, 2 classrooms, and the bathrooms will cost $100,000. Total Phase 1 construction cost will be $200,000. This will get all 5 class rooms, the office and the bathrooms built. To help keep costs down and to give the electrical and plumbing students some hands on experience, the students (and recent graduates) are helping with the construction.
Investing in lives for many years to come. That is what you are doing when you contribute to the building of this school. So many lives have already been changed. We really need your help to make this happen. Please consider giving $5,000, $1,000, $500, $100 or any amount. All donations are tax deductible and 100% goes to funding the school. Everything you give will impact lives!

Donations can be mailed to 4893 Ezra Ct. Mason, OH, or give online at www.GoBeyondRelief.org

Thank you very much!
