Dear Friend of Beyond Relief,

As 2012 comes to a close, we are thankful for what God is doing in Haiti through Beyond Relief.  This ministry is impacting Haitian students in ways that we can hardly imagine here in the United States.  Many students say that you have given them hope for their future.

The trade school has experienced much growth this year.  The number of students has doubled; there are now first year and second year classes in plumbing, electric, and art; the English class is focusing not only on speaking English, but also reading and writing it.  Also, because the classes are larger, the school had to move to a location that would accommodate more students.  You have made all this possible.

As we look forward to 2013, we see the growth continuing.  The first class of students will graduate in June.  Word about the school has spread throughout St. Louis du Nord and there is a huge demand to get into the school.  Class size will grow again for the fall of 2013.

We just received confirmation that Beyond Relief has been awarded a corporate grant to start a computer skills class.  The grant will cover a portion of the cost for the classes, but not all of it.  We need your help to ensure we have a quality computer skills class.  With the new computer skills class and growth in the current classes we find ourselves in need of more space (what a great problem to have!).

People have asked a number of times about some of the costs to make the school available so here are some statistics.  Our monthly total salary expense for 6 Haitian teaching/administrative staff is $1,325 and will increase to $1,750 for the 2013/2014 school year.  Shipping one pallet of supplies to Haiti costs over $1,500.  We expect our building rental to go from $1,200 this year to at least $10,000 next year as we move to larger facilities.  We currently have our electricity needs donated to us, but expect to pay $2,000 next year with the computer class and larger facility.  We are frugal with the funds you provide, but we are trying to provide a very inexpensive education to these students; the cost per student is about $50 per month and we are only charging the students $2 per month.

Will you help us to meet the increasing financial demands next year?  Your year-end donation of $50, $100, $500, or whatever amount you can provide, will enable funding of the computer skills classes and a larger facility for the coming year!  Your donation can be made by check or online via PayPal on our website, www.GoBeyondRelief.org.  Beyond Relief now has an account with UBS that will allow us to receive stock donations, also.  Your donation of appreciated stock is a great way to support Beyond Relief and avoid the capital gains taxes.  If you will donate stock, contact David via e-mail (david@gobeyondrelief.org) or telephone (513-284-1053) and we can work out the specifics.

As you can see, God has truly blessed His ministry with Beyond Relief.  We look forward with you to what the coming year has in store.

Sincerely,

David and Rita Kuntz
President and Executive Director

P.S.:  The computer skills class is going to bring such excitement to St. Louis du Nord!
